Great Overview

Story Points were a little confusing but over all was a great overview of the agile/ scrum process as it relates to product owners. Very eye-opening in regard to roles.

Expert In The Field

I thought the content was very thorough and well presented. Dan is certainly an expert in the field and that added a lot of confidence in the class. As a new PO this class has given me the confidence to help lead my organization (agile newbie) in adopting agile.

Food For Thought

A paradoxical course. Both invaluable and marginally useful. One might argue all courses are like this, but this course more than most. Class-driven discussion was very productive to a point. Most of the good stuff was in the discussion, but also derailed things so that there was less time for the interesting stuff at the end. At the end, it offers food for thought and some useful tools, so mission accomplished. In any case, it was great to take advantage of Dan's wealth of experience.

Dan Was Always Prepared

The course was good, I found myself asking myself (team) introspective questions on scrum. The roles/responsibilities were clarified nicely, and Dan provided great examples and analogies. Dan was always prepared to answer questions from people of varying scrum experience levels.

Great Nuggets of Information

Lots of great nuggets of information. One challenge was understanding the fundamental responsibilities of the Product Owner, and how to be a successful Product Owner. There was a lot of info covered that crossed over to multiple roles (e.g. Project Management, Scrum Team, etc.) which made the Product Owner role unclear at times during the course.

Good Ideas

It started a bit slow on the first morning.
I liked the examples of different types of stories and backbones.
I liked the diagrams of scaling Agile to larger organizations.
We've been doing Scrum for a while, but there were some good ideas here to try.

Good Course

Good course. Should have been longer of have some prerequisite courses/readings. Seemed a bit rushed.

Very Beneficial

This course provided a nice overview of the Agile Methodology and it was very beneficial that several of our team members attended the same course. We will conduct a retrospective tomorrow 🙂 to determine how we move forward and embrace this methodology.
